Obituary

Stephanie Bear Robe, 53, of Mitchell, SD, died Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2023 at He Dog Community Building in Parmelee, SD beginning at 10:00 AM with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at St. Agnes Church Cemetery in Parmelee. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Stephanie Bear Robe-LaBuff was born June 13, 1969 to Marie Elk Looks Back and Thomas LaBuff. Stephanie attended school at He Dog Elementary and Northwest Indian Bible School in Alberton Montana.

Stephanie leaves behind children, Anthony Bear Robe-Hofwolt, Alexander Bear Robe-Hofwolt, Amanda Bear Robe-Miller, Andrea Miller-Bucklez, Ashley Bear Robe-Miller, Alijah Bear Robe-Miller, Joseph Winters Elk Looks Back families, Richards families, and Re'Shaw families.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amelia Bear Robe-Miller; granddaughter Meela Miller; auntie, Marceline Elk Looks Back; uncle, Emery Elk Looks Back; and grandmother, Ida Re'Shaw.

She was also preceded in death by my father & her brother Sylvan Thomas LaBuff Sr. She’s probably happy to see them all. May they ALL rest in peace.

I remember when her whole clan was alive in he dog in the mid late 60s. Those were happy days. She is with them..

I got to know Steph threw the insurance
office where I worked. We had several
heart to heart talks
She loved all of her kids…R.I.P.
