Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 13, at Bittner Funeral Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd, MN.

Sheri Sue Dryden was born on September 6, 1946, in Thief River Falls, MN, to godly parents Wallace and Ruby Christensen, who nurtured her faith in Christ as her personal Savior as a young girl. The family moved to Brainerd, MN, where she graduated from high school in 1964. After high school, she attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where she met her husband, Pastor Daniel B. Drown. They married on October 1, 1967, and were blessed with three wonderful sons, Todd, Scott, and Nathan. They served churches in Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and Minnesota until Dan’s death in 2003. Five years later, Sheri found love again and married Robert Dryden of Brainerd, MN, in 2008. They enjoyed common interests in music and travel, and spent time in The Villages, FL.

Besides Sheri’s involvement in Bible studies, church ministry, and music, she was a piano teacher for many years and sang in the Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota. She loved spending time with her family by the lake, on the lake, and in the lake. Her family and friends were very important to her. She was a member of Lakewood Evangelical Free Church of Baxter, MN, and also attended Live Oaks Community Church in The Villages, FL, and Northridge Baptist Church in Mitchell, SD.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Robert Dryden of Mitchell, SD; her sons, Todd (Ina) Drown of Toronto, SD, Scott Drown of Moorcroft, WY, and Nathan (Beth) Drown of Prescott, AZ; sister, Kathy (David) Ostrander of Stanwood, WA; brothers, Wes (Esther) Christensen of Rolling Hills Estates, CA, and Ron (Elaine) Christensen of Renton, WA; Bob’s children, Lisa (Ron) Spier of St. Michael, MN, Bret (Rosie) Dryden of Venice, FL, Beth Dryden of Sioux Falls, SD, Daniel (Wendy) Dryden of Isanti, MN; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Sheri was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Drown, and her parents.

Sheri will be missed so much by Doug and myself. We loved her and will remember the fun times we had together in The Villages, FL. She was a perfect example of what a child of God should be. We'll see you in heaven, Sheri. Doug and Sandi

Sheri was my son Nick's piano teacher for many years. She was so good at encouraging his piano skills, which led to playing percussion, which he still does today. When I told him, he said she was a "phenomenal teacher" and I agree. May God bless and comfort her family until they are reunited in heaven.

What a wonderful woman. I’m proud to call her my Aunt.I enjoyed visiting with her and Uncle Bob every year when I returned to Minnesota for deer hunting season. You will always be missed and never forgotten. I thank God for “sharing” you with us.

Sheri was a dear, dear friend. She encouraged me through some tough times; we shared our love & skill of piano together, & so, so many memories. I admired & loved her so! Prayers for Bob & family with this huge loss;but we know she's joyfully at HOME now with her Savior& loved ones who went on before.

So many memories as sisters in law but none so happy as singing together with our husbands for various occasions. Looking forward when we all sing together before the Lamb of God in Heaven

My sympathies for Bob and family, on Sheri’s passing.. Sheri was a dear friend of our family, and held a special place in hearts. I am reminded of words from the beautiful hymn,Amazing Grace….she had ‘endless love and amazing grace’’. RIP Sheri, you are safely home. ❤️
