Rhonda Goetsch, 71, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be Friday, January 16, from 5-7:00 PM at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell, SD.

Rhonda Faye Goetsch was born on November 21, 1954, to Lloyd and Mary (Starchman) Sparlin in Joplin, Missouri. She graduated from High School in Carl Junction, Missouri.

On October 6, 1974, Rhonda married William Goetsch in Yankton, South Dakota. Together, they had three daughters: Rebekah, Rhoda, and Rochelle.

Rhonda worked for the old Elks Lodge, the Abbott House, and the Martin Group. Rhonda attended the Pentecostal Churches.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, William Goetsch; daughters, Rebekah Huntley of Cheyenne, WY, Rhoda M. Goetsch of Mitchell, SD, and Rochelle Goetsch of Tea, SD; siblings, Harold "Bud" Sparlin (Racine, MO), Lynda Bowen (Cassville, MO), Carol Johnston (Brownwood, TX), Darryl Sparlin (Webb City, MO), Kenneth Sparlin (Joplin, MO), Elmer Sparlin (Oswego, KS), and Walter Sparlin (Carl Junction, MO). Along with 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Her loving life also extended affections for her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mary; mother-in-law; father-in-law; brothers-in-law, Les Goetsch and Pat Knickrehm; sister-in-law, Cindy Knickrehm, and one niece.
