Obituary

Naomi McCormick, 95, of Mitchell, South Dakota passed away Tuesday, October 6th, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.

Naomi was born January 16th, 1931 in Sioux, Iowa to the late Otto Fred and Sarah Goodwin Oehlerking. She worked as Food Service Director for Storla Nursing Home in South Dakota for several years. Naomi loved board games, sewing, and playing cards. More than anything she loved taking care of her family.

Naomi is preceded in death by her children, Joel McCormick and Linda Mulso; siblings, Otto Oehlerking Jr., Lloyd Oehlerking, and Elvera Grabenstein.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Elizabeth) McCormick, Patrick McCormick, and Lisa (Bill) Ryder; grandchildren, Megan McCormick, Todd (Lauren) McCormick, Jack Ryder, Sean McCormick, Brandon (Kelcey) McCormick, Shantelle McCormick; several nieces and nephews.
