I was 10 when he took the church in Aberdeen SD. Our family were founding members. He was my confirmation instructor and was a firm advocate of scripture memorization. At the lowest point in my life God brought back to me Psalm 51 which was David’s great prayer of repentance. This Psalm that I memorized as a young boy was anchor for my salvation. Thank you Pr Hasse for your commitment.

On behalf of the Ketterling Family, please know our thoughts and love are with you as you say goodbye to Martin. Jensinne, Mom and Dad and Martin were very very close friends and shared a bond as pastors and pastors' wives. Your family has been there for ours in the most difficult of times and in the best. Dad wishes he could be there in person. All of our love to you.

You have our Prayers and Sympathy. We attended the first wedding Pastor Haase performed at Hillside in 1957. He must have done the ceremony right because the marriage lasted till Billy Rumbolz died in 2016.

Our sympathy to the family as we remember his wonderful services of our family baptism, confirmation, and a wedding at First Lutheran. His kindness was greatly appreciated.
