Obituary

Margaret “Sue” Weisz, 78, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Aurora-Brule Nursing Home in White Lake, SD. Visitation will be Monday, February 24 from 5-7:00 PM, at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell.

Margaret Weisz was born January 8, 1947, to Claude and Mabel (Russell) Phelps in Fairbury, NE.

Sue married Howard Weisz in 1967. Together, they moved to Anaheim, CA, and later moved to Mitchell, SD in 1980. She worked at the Daily Republic, First Lutheran Church, Edward Jones, and Central Electric.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Dina and Lacie, and grandson, Riley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, infant daughter, brother, and two sisters.

My Aunt Sus was a very sweet and and gentle spirit. She showed a great deal of patience and kindness in my younger days. I'll always remember her fondly. Love you.

Sorry for your loss Dina, I always enjoyed visiting with your Mom when I cleaned at Central Electric. She was a very nice and friendly person.
