Margaret Eileen Scheetz, nee Geidel, was born to Alvin H. and Alma Geidel on November 28, 1938 in rural Douglas County. She was baptized on December 25, 1938, and confirmed in her faith by Reverend John Dewald on June 22, 1952. She attended rural grade school in Douglas County.

In addition to being a faithful member of the Ladies Aid group at Faith Lutheran, Parkston and Zion Lutheran, Mitchell, she enjoyed embroidery, quilting, fixing puzzles, and painting ceramics. While Harlan was alive playing 10-point pitch and dancing on Saturday nights were favorite pastimes. More recently, she liked to play Kings-in-the-Corner and marbles with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, while at the nursing home, she played Bingo at least three times a week.
After a fall Labor Day weekend of 2023, she became a permanent resident at Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo where she was well loved and cared for. She was called to her heavenly home on February 16, 2025.
