Obituary

Linda Weber, 70, of Alexandria, SD, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at her home under hospice care with family by her side. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 20, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7:00 PM at the church with a 6:30 PM prayer service. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Linda Diane (Hubbart) Weber was born on April 28, 1955, at the Methodist Hospital in Mitchell, SD, to Robert DeLoyce Hubbart and Louise (Klinger) Hubbart. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Alexandria, SD. The family lived near Epiphany and attended school in Farmer, SD. At the age of 12, her family moved north of Alexandria, where she grew up and graduated from Hanson High School in 1973. Following high school, Linda attended Mitchell Vo-Tech, where she pursued her education for LPN schooling.

Linda married Wayne Weber on November 29, 1974, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mitchell.

Linda worked at St. Joseph Hospital and then Queen of Peace Hospital from 1974 to 2004.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer, SD, St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Pierre Creek Trail Riders, Saddle Club in Alexandria, SD O-Mak-See Horse Club, and SD HHA Horse Club.

Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne; son, Chris Weber (Brittney Kaufmann) of Alexandria, SD; daughters, Tanya (Dustin) Wickstrom of Parker, SD, and April Weber (Ed Blindauer) of Mitchell, SD; her mother, Louise Hubbart; sisters, Cindy (Jerome) Beatch and Dorothy (Darwin) Tiede; sisters-in-law, Peggy Stanley and Cathy Noble; brothers-in-law, Tim, Perry, and Joey Weber; and grandchildren, Piper Kurtenbach, Avery and Riley Weber, Isaac (Carolyn) Weber, and Ethan Blindauer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hubbart; father & mother-in-law, Robert and Edith Weber; and niece, Jamie (Beatch) Shannon.

Heaven welcome an angel, and may you all cherish the memories of Linda and your family I worked with Linda for over 10 years and known her for 12 years. She was loved by everyone and such a wonderful coworker and friend. I will miss her so much. we've always stayed in touch since retirement.
