Obituary

Judy Goldhammer, 77, of Mitchell, SD, died Friday, November 8, 2024, at her home in Mitchell. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 23, at Bittner Funeral Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral service.

Judy Ann Goldhammer, daughter of Norman and Virginia Goldhammer, was born July 20, 1947, in Mitchell, SD. She grew up in Mitchell and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1965.

Judy was well known in the Mitchell community, active in various organizations over the years. She worked many jobs in sales and customer service.

She loved to support her great-nieces in everything they did. Judy was always looking forward to her salon visits to get her hair and nails done.

Judy is survived by her sister, Glenda (Don) Mikuska; nephew, Jeremy Mikuska; great-nieces, Chloe and Kia Mikuska; sister-in-law, Marge Goldhammer; aunts and uncles, Onie Goldhammer, Edie Goldhammer, and Harvard & Barbara Goldhammer; her cousins and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Ruth Goldhammer; brothers, Delmar, Douglas, and Dean Goldhammer; grandparents, Ray and Frieda Goldhammer; aunts and uncles, Doris & Willie Cook, Howard & Darlene Goldhammer, and Curtis Goldhammer.

I am sorry for your loss, I was shocked when my clients came from Mitchell told me today that Judy has passed away. JUDY is wonderful friend, I did her nails in Mitchell since 2018, she always sending me post on my messenger. She gonna be miss .

I worked with Judy years ago—she was an incredibly hard worker and very gifted in the area of communication. She was put-together and professional. Never saw her without beautiful nails. Most of all—she was kind and never knew a stranger. Rest easy Judy. You made a difference and I was blessed to have known you.

Judy was one of a kind. She was always bubbly and had something positive to say. She was always encouraging to those around her. She will be greatly missed.
