John Easterly, 57, of Mitchell, SD, died Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.

John Easterly was born November 29, 1966, in Detroit, MI. Michigan was where his heart and soul were, lost in the woods and beautiful lakes and trees. John was always a happy-go-lucky man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was American to the bone and a son of God. His family was his everything.

John is survived by his wife, Veronica Easterly; daughter, Crystal Mitchell; and son-in-law, Roland Mitchell, who was like the son he never had.

Veronica and family, I am so sorry for your loss. We had good laughs in the Mitchell DaVita Dialysis before it closed. He will be missed greatly.
