Janet Long, 80, of Pierre, SD, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Canistota. Services are pending under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Our sincere sympathy to Ed & her family in her passing.! She seemed to know her days were limited & preferred to talk about eternal matters
She remembers well the days when the Gospel came to her family & the affect it had on how their lives were changed. She was anxious to capture that same feeling for her own soul. She had us sing Hymn 193- "Only one life to.live"each time we were there. - Life is like a vapor soon to pass- this was real to her now! In the Hymn some definite purposes- ONE is: " I will not serve God with less than my all"
We also sang "God is Fairhful"- the chorus reads: New each morning are His mercies & His Fairhfulness so great; His compassion fails us never IF before His Throne we wait!
