Obituary

Jamie Schladweiler, 42, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Jamie Jo Schladweiler was born on October 6, 1983, to Jerry and Jodi (Ziebart) Schladweiler in Mitchell, SD. Jamie graduated from Mitchell High School and then Mitchell Vo-Tech.

Jamie loved attending races at Huset’s and I-90 Speedways. She also enjoyed 4-wheeling in the Black Hills, playing bingo, and going to concerts. Jamie cherished her dog, Sadie, and cats, Ki-Ki and Ninja.

Jamie is survived by her fiancé, Darby Johnson; parents, Jerry and Jodi Schladweiler; siblings, Jeremy and Jessica; uncles, Scott Ziebart of Plankinton, and Dan Ziebart of Madison; aunt, Tami Ziebart of Woonsocket; and cousins, Tat & Kelsey, Ty, and Taryn Ziebart, and Tristan and Trevor Olson.

She was preceded in death by Robert and Geraldine Ziebart, Bobby Ziebart, Tracy Ziebart, and James Schladweiler.
