Hadley William Wallace was born November 15th, 2004, along with his built-in best friends, Hayden and Peighten, to parents Ralph and Stephanie Wallace. As a triplet, he was never separated for long from his brother and sister. He grew up on the outskirts of Mitchell and moved to Alexandria when he was 12. He attended Hanson School District, graduating in May 2023. Hadley was a member of First Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD.
Last fall Hadley earned a football and academic scholarship to attend college at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, staying close to home and his family. Hadley was an exemplary individual who fully applied himself to whatever he attempted. An honor-roll student in both high school and college, he was also a star athlete in football, track, basketball, and baseball, earning the Dakota Wesleyan University Scholar-Athlete Award during his first year at college.
Hadley had a deep love for his family and friends. He always went above and beyond to be a great son, sibling, friend, teammate, and role model. He took great pride in pushing himself to always do his best and tried to inspire others to do the same. This pride in always doing his best was demonstrated in Hadley’s final act of kindness, which was giving the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Hadley had a love for clothes, shoes, and his hair. Rarely was he caught not wearing his iconic Nike Airforce shoes, Lululemon shorts, and a sweatshirt. He also loved working out. One of his favorite places to hangout was the weight room. Along with everything else he took great pride in looking good!
Hadley was a beloved brother and son, who was devoted to his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Stephanie; siblings, Peighten and Hayden; grandparents, Ralph and Beverly Wallace and Monte and Shannon Myhra; and a whole family of uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by all his great-grandparents. He will be dearly missed.
In honor of Hadley’s love of sports, the family encourages everyone to wear Hanson or DWU football jerseys or colors, if possible.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Security State Bank in Alexandria, SD.
