I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers! Gene was one of the most kind people I have ever met. Memories of picking watermelons in Forestburg and spending time at the farm while I was growing up. It was always good to see and chat with him when I was back in Emery for the summer! He will be missed and I feel blessed to have known him!

So sorry and saddened to hear of Gene's passing. I got to know him while I was working at the FSA office in Mitchell. He was also in the National Guard with my Dad, Donnie. I really enjoyed working with him - he was such a sweet man.

After his brother< Leonard, passed six months ago, I became the oldest living cousin. I visited Gene a couple of years ago and I enjoyed sharing memories of our youth. My father frequently talked about how hard Gene worked.
My wife and I express our sympathies to Karen and her family. Geene will remembered in our prayers here in CA.

Gene was my EHS classmate. Somehow we were always seated together in study hall. Gene was a good friend and often talked about our high school days. I am so very sorry he has passed. The last time we chatted on the phone he said it wouldn’t be long. I’ll miss Gene and our reminiscing. He was a great guy! My condolences to his family.

Condolences to the entire Berg family. We never had the opportunity to meet Gene but know Melissa well. Hearing her talk about her dad brings this poem to mind!
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest,
It broke our hearts to see you go,
God only takes the best.
RIP Gene
