Deborah Connor, 71, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at her home under hospice care. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, from 1-3:00 PM at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Private family burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell.

Deborah Mary Connor was born November 19, 1953, to Ronald and Lorraine (Hinnenkamp) Denne in St. Cloud, MN. She attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School in Minnesota. After high school, Deb moved to Deadwood, SD for a brief time, and later moved to Mitchell, SD.

Deb worked various jobs, including Mock Rest Home and for her father at Ron’s Bicycle Shop. In 1998, her and Nowell “Shorty” Hofer started Shorty’s Locker in Mitchell, until they sold the business in 2023.

Deb was a loving mother and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and playing games.

She is survived her children, Simon (Kristy) Bullis, Heather Hanson, Elie (Michayla) Hofer, and David Kenney all of Mitchell; Shorty’s son, Noah (Karen) Hughes; grandchildren, Jake, Samantha, Kaison, Odin, Addison, Aubrey, Micah, Daniel, and Sadie; great-grandchildren, Jenson and William; sister, Judy (Gaylenn) Ozanne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her significant other, Nowell “Shorty”; son, Albert Connor Jr.; and two brothers, Gary and Mike Denne.
