Dale Curtis Houchin was born on October 31, 1942, to Dick Albert and Dorothy (Stoughton) Houchin of Highland Park, California. He attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. During that time, he met and married Sharon Marie Wolf, and together they shared 65 wonderful years. They were blessed with one daughter, Tammy Christine, in 1961.
Dale was a printer by trade and worked for numerous print shops, including Taft Printing. In 1978, he worked for Walk Thru the Bible Ministries and relocated his family to Marietta, Georgia. In 1983, he left Walk Thru and became a true entrepreneur, owning a variety of companies, including an interior landscape company, a travel agency, an athletic shoe store, a digital graphic service, and many rental apartments.
In his later years, he found a passion working as a CASA Advocate and portraying Santa during the holiday season.
