Betty Stevenson, 84, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in her home surrounded by family after a long battle with dementia. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 18, at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3:00 PM at Bittner Funeral Chapel with a 2:30 PM prayer service.

Betty Lou Stevenson was born February 3, 1939, to William and Laura (Beiswanger) Thill in Mitchell, SD.

Over the years Betty worked as a star route mail driver, worked for Sunshine Foods, Randalls, County Fair, Loretta's Truck Haven, and owned and operated Steve-O-Reno‘s Café and Stevenson Trucking with her husband, Lyle. In retirement she enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, playing cards, bingo, computer games, and spending time with her cousin Hansie and husband Jim Moore.

Betty is survived by her sons, Rich and Chuck (Priscilla); daughter, Lorie (Harold) Wilson; five grandchildren: Jodi, Chris, Ben, Mariah, and Cody (Deanna); five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Orville; sisters-in-law, Anita and Carolyn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Stevenson; parents, Laura and William Thill; brother, Melvin; sister, Velma; and parents-in-law, Marguerite and Glenn Stevenson.
