Barbara Kay Carroll was born July 31, 1938, to Frank and Faye (Gardner) Williams in Mitchell, SD. Barb graduated from Stickney High School, and then attended Presentation College for nursing.
Barb was united in marriage to Kenneth Carroll on October 10, 1957 in Stickney, SD. To this union, seven children were born. The bigger the family gathering, the more the merrier! One of Barb’s best decisions in life was having children. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Barb loved all sports, especially attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She also loved golfing and bowling.
Barb had a servant heart, filled with so much joy and full of unconditional love. Her family was everything to her. She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and showed it in her life.
Barb is survived by her husband, Ken; children: Kimberly (Tom) Young of Mitchell, Mike (Kathy) Carroll of Sioux City, IA, Linda (Cory) Hofer of Bridgewater, Connie (Doug) Krantz of Surprise, AZ, Lori (Jim) Bertus of Norfolk, NE, Patti (Shawn) Haley of Mitchell, and Mary Jo (Cooper) Garnos of Presho; and 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
