Obituary

Audrey Weber, 89, of Mitchell, SD, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell under Avera Hospice Care. Private family graveside services will be held at Servicemen’s Memorial Cemetery in Mitchell. A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 29, in the Bittner Funeral Chapel Community Room.

Audrey Jean Weber was born August 31, 1935, in Montevideo, MN to Arthur and Olga (Rear) Raffelson.

She married James Weber on January 7, 1956, and together they had six children. After following her husband across three states for work, they settled in Mitchell, SD.

Audrey was a founding board member of the Servicemen’s Memorial Park Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Audrey is survived by her children: Alan (Cathy) Weber, Mark Weber, Teresa Weber, Cheryl Hohn, Janel (Fran) Contreras, Cindy (David) Stansfield; grandchildren: Christine (Jerry) Schelske, PJ (Jessica) Weber, Josh (Nina) Weber, Frank (Kylie) Contreras, Ryan Contreras, Bailey Hohn (Logan), Tucker Hohn (Taylor), Dena Contreras, and Christy (Rob) Riddle; great-grandchildren: Malaina, Stella, Edison, Camden, Ryker, Brandon (Kelsey), and Jacob (Brooke); and siblings: Judie, Sally, Patti (Gary) Nolen, and Norman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Weber; daughter, Linda; her parents; brothers, Clayton and Owen; and sister, Lee.
