Obituary

Andrea DeSheuquette-Sullivan, 34, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, in Mitchell. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Andrea was born on May 8th, 1990, to Dawn DeSheuquette of Lower Brule, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Andrea was placed in foster care with the John and Terry Sullivan family by her 2nd birthday and the adoption was completed on June 7th, 1996. She made her First Communion and was Confirmed at Holy Family Catholic Church. During her grade school years, she took piano lessons, and also enjoyed dance lessons and recitals. She played clarinet in the 5th and 6th grade bands.

Andrea always loved playing with the family cats and rough housing with her four older brothers. She also loved all her girlfriends and the good times together.

She passed on God's beautiful gift of life. She will be lovingly remembered as having touched many lives.

Andrea is survived by her parents, Terry and John Sullivan; her children, Joseph, Jaden, Nayeli, Kayli, and Kaylani; brothers, David (Allison) of Sioux Falls, Dustin (Nichole) of Mitchell, Tim of Mitchell, and Ryan (Jackie) of Manitowoc, WI; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

I meet Andrea when I was 18 years old at the ILP living program in Sioux Falls South Dakota. I called her "Audi" and over the past 15 years she has been a very dear friend to me.
