Obituary

Darla Coffey, 68, of Mitchell, SD, died Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell. A visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, at Bittner Funeral Chapel. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Darla Jean Coffey was born in Corsica, SD on February 5, 1954 to Lawrence and Evelyn Jendersee. She grew up in Mt. Vernon, SD with her older brother Gary Jendersee. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1972.

Darla was known for being a loving grandmother and loved being around her family. She was a kind and happy woman. She was known for her compassion for others. She will be missed by those that knew her.

She is survived by her three children, Dixie (Preston) Jones, Jason (Bobbyjo) Hohn, and April Hohn; brother, Gary Jendersee; she has left behind her 11 grandchildren: Lena Kight, James Fisher, Izabella Walker, Shyanne Maddox, LilyBeth Maddox, Ariana Jones, Phoenix Jones, Corbin Hohn, Amelia Hohn, Elsie Hohn, and Scotty Vogel; nine great-grandchildren, Daniel Parker, Hunter Parker, Addisen Parker, Dante Fisher, Vanellope Becker, Addisyn Becker, Marshal Walker, LiliAnne Maddox, and Mazikeen Winters.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Graves, parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Jendersee, two brothers, and several aunts and uncles.

Sorry for your loss. Darla and I worked together at Betty's place, she was so helpful. I will miss seeing her around.

I will forever cherish my memories I had with my grandma. She was the best grams any little girl could ask for! She loved each and everyone Iâ€™ve of her grandchildren! Darla had a big heartâ¤ï¸
