Dan Darrington, 77, of Mitchell, SD, died Sunday, February 26, 2023, at his home under hospice care. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

, Dan & I graduated Yankton High School together. we were cross country teammates and were in band music ensembles together.we went to college and roomed together 2 yrs. Later circumstnces brought us back together in Mitchell he from Dallas Tx and me from Pierre SD. guess even in the same town we were just too busy to get together except in passing. I learned a few yrs ago he was dealing with cancer and was doing treatment back in Texas. Life is shorter then we realize but I had the privilege of being a friend of Dan. we had great experiences together. my condolences to JoAnn, Rich and his daughters.

Worked for Dan for about 5yrs and got to know him pretty well. Possibly one of the best men to work for. He will be greatly missed…
