Janice (Johnson) Selge, 46, Avon, IN, died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis, IN after a courageous 8 month battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
She was born March 17, 1967 to Jim and Joan Johnson with the honor of being the 1000th baby born at the Freeman Community Hospital. Janice graduated from Emery High School and Sioux Falls College. After graduation she worked at Uni-labs and Raven Industries in Sioux Falls. In May 1995 she married Bob Selge in Terre Haute, IN, where they made their home for several years, then moving to Fishers, IN until making Avon, IN their present home. She worked for many years alongside her husband at their label company, IndiLabel. Janice enjoyed vacations with family, walking, biking during the beautiful fall season especially, going to movies, attending her children’s school and sports activities, going to several Indy races, and attending many Indiana Colts and Pacer games alongside her husband. She had a strong faith in God, a loving spirit, a bubbly-talkative personality and was very strong and hardworking in everything she did.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Bob, her children, Samantha and Derek all of Avon, IN; her parents, Jim and Joan Johnson, brother Keith (Lisa) Johnson, Mitchell; sister, Wanda Chaney, Renner; nephews: Riley Johnson, Sioux Falls; Miles Johnson, Minneapolis, MN; nieces: Jessica Chaney, Sioux Falls; Amber (Pat) Wiedman, Baltic; great-nieces, Paige and Emily Wiedman, father-in-law, Paul Selge Sr., brothers-in-law: Paul (Barb), Mark, Alan and sister-in-law, Deb and their families; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
