It has been 40+ years since the class of 66 was last together. My memories of Craig are that of a classmate who was always smiling, polite, lots of fun in class and a great athlete. We all were aware that Craig had a disability but I don't think he knew. It didn't seem to be an issue for him. I am so sad to hear of his loss and my thoughts and prayers go to his family. They have truly lost one of those "special people"

How the years fly. I graduated with Craig and remember his warmth and upbeat personality, always handling his disability very well. I do remember always our birthday talks, since I was born March 14, 1948l--Craig in Mitchell and myself in Aberdeen. Good memories remain. My best to all of the family.

Deepest sympathies to the family! Craig and I go way back to kids in Sunday School at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. I always marveled at how he managed to do so much physically after he was struck with polio as a little guy!

My deepest condolences to Barbara and Craig's family. I have fond memories of Craig from our MHS years. He was an awesome center in football and I always felt welcomed when I had a chance to stop in at his and Barbara's office in Mitchell. My prayers are with you all.

We are so saddened to read of Craig's passing. We are sure he fought the good fight as he did throughout his life, never letting his disability affect his good outlook on life. His smile and his warm greeting to all who knew him will be remembered. When I needed his help with the office accounting problems, he was always there without complaining and always had the answers I needed.
Barb, I know you will miss him terribly because of the loving bond you shared. Our prayers to you and all the family at this sad time.

To the Smith family—I was so sorry to read about Craig. I haven’t seen him for many years, but will always remember one year when Craig and Dave came to the basketball tournament and stayed at my apartment. I was making mints for a shower (for Cheryl Titze, I think) and those two were “helping”. I’m sure they ate many more than we got done for the shower!! I also remember playing many, many games of Euchre that weekend. Keep your memories close and Craig will live in your hearts forever. God bless you all.

Barb, Rocky & Mindi-
I was so shocked to hear of Craig's passing. I have many fond memories of his smiling face when he stopped in to check our bowling. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God be with you during this difficult time.
