Agnes Nathalia Conzemius


June 28, 1922 - December 23, 2011


Agnes Nathalia (Nelson) Conzemius was born June 28, 1922 to Nels B. and Anna (Wiberg) Nelson near Tripp, SD. She attended school in Ethan, SD and graduated from the 9th grade at Mitchell Jr. High School. She was involved with the National Youth Association in White Lake, SD, sewing clothes for the needy.

On March 4, 1943 she married Sylvester Conzemius in Hartington, NE. They farmed near Armour until 1950. They then lived in Lake Andes for a few years and then moved to Corsica in 1953.

She worked at the Pleasant View Nursing Home for eight years as an assistant to the cook. Agnes enjoyed playing cards, collecting bells and spoons from all the states and visiting her kids and grandchildren.

Agnes is survived by her children: Diana Clyde and husband, Malford, Charles Conzemius and wife, Lee, Duane Conzemius and wife, Kathy, Carol Callan, Janet Conzemius all of Mitchell and Darla Willis and husband, John of Parkston; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ella Peterson of Mitchell and Clara Pommer of Trenton, MO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester, her parents, three brothers: Oscar, Nels Harry and Otto Nelson and two sisters: Elsie Widmann and Ethel Hines.

Janet, Sandy and I were so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. A donation will be made to Children's Care Hospital and School in her memory.

Carol and Janet Iam so sorry to hear your mother passing.
She was a very wonderful person. She loved life and had many
friends like my Mother Doris. They had so much fun together.
