Robert Harder Sr., 58, of Huron, SD, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Avera Queen of Peace in Mitchell. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.
Robert Wayne Harder Sr. was born on June 28, 1962 to Elwood and Pauline (Steele) Harder in Salina, KS. He received his GED from Kansas State High School. Robert enlisted in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1981.
Robert became a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in 1984.
Robert had a great passion for dirt track racing. He enjoyed working on his car and racing for many years. Above all, Robert loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Robert W Harder Jr of Kansas and Nathan G Harder of South Dakota; sisters, Shirley Rodriquez of Kansas and Theresa Crum of South Dakota; along with beloved nieces and nephews.
