Mrs Scott loved children and teaching was such a natural gift of hers. She was my 6th grade teacher at Eugene Field. I will always remember her as a kind teacher, who believed in me and expected me to learn in her classroom and I did!

Jeannie and John. Your mom and dad lived down the street. It was not uncommon to stop to visit when they were working in the yard. I will remember your mom as always smiling. May pleasant memories surround you.

Jeannie and John, I'm so sorry to hear of your Moms previous passing. Barb Horton e-mailed me today to let me know. I usually tried to stop for a chat with her when I was in Mitchell. Her smile and laugh were wonderful....always so happy. I have so many wonderful memories of her. She's happy to be with you Dad. God Bless Her Always.

So sorry to hear of passing of Aunt Dorothy. All our sympathy to Jerry, Jean and Linda and families. Many years ago we used to have our Christmas party on New Year's Day at Dorothy and Henry's house. They would come to our house in Platte for Thanksgiving and goose hunting.

Mrs. Scott was also my sixth-grade teacher at Mitchell Middle School. Her big smile would light up the classroom and her “good morning” would always be so genuine and kind. She made all of her students feel special and important. When I close my eyes, I can still picture myself sitting in a desk toward the front of her classroom. I can hear her voice, and I remember thinking that I had just met the most wonderful person and teacher in this world. She was one of a kind. My thoughts are with the family and all who knew this amazing woman. She will be missed but never forgotten by those who were blessed to know her. God bless.

My Grandma, Granny D as she had the great grands call her, will be missed terribly. The love she had for us all was so perfect and genuine. We are such a blessed family to have had her as our precious hug giver, holiday magic maker, and so much more! We hope she knows how much she meant to us.

Jean, Jerry, Linda, and families.....Aunt Dorothy was an exceptionally gifted, intelligent person, and I have never met anyone who loved to be with people more than she did. Her laughter was so wonderful, and her love and commitment to Jesus Christ was evident. From childhood, Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Henry became our favorite people to be with, and also, three favorite first cousins that continue to hold a deep love in my heart. I am sad, with you, that our earthly times of conversation and fellowship with Aunt Dorothy are over, but truly rejoice that she has flown away to her Savior's arms and will forever be with the Lord in that glorious place called Heaven. Jesus Christ is also my personal Savior and Lord, and Heaven is also my destination whether through the soon-coming "catching away of His church" or whether by natural death. May God's comfort and peace be upon each of you.

She was meaning to call 996**** but called a 999**** I chatted with her server times that she called by mistake. What a great person she was!

Jean--I was sorry to read that you have lost your mom. I wish that she and my mom could have gotten to be neighbors in Assisting Living at Brady. It's hard to lose a parent no matter how long we have had them. Keep your memories close and she will live in your heart forever. God Bless You and your family as you grieve your loss and as you celebrate her homegoing.
