Obituary

Judith “Judy” Larson, 77, of Mitchell, SD, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Judith “Judy” Ann Larson was born on August 14, 1943 to Theodore and Hazel (Arionas) Andachter in Parkston, SD.

On May 17, 1964 Judy was united in marriage to Jay Larson in Delmont, SD.

Judy’s career consisted of working in the Davison County State’s Attorney Office in Mitchell.

Judy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jay; sons: James (Kerry) Larson and their children Jakob and Aiden of Edina, MN; Jeffery (Ruby Gabayeron) Larson and their children Jady and Jerik of Bismarck, ND; and Jon (Nicole) Larson and their children Joseph, Grace, and Elizabeth of Aurora, CO; and sisters, Sue Larson, Joan Hiles, Linda Miiller, and Cheryl Miiller.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, George Larson, Cecil Hiles, Robert Miiller, and Dale Miiller.

Jay, I am so so sorry about Judy’s passing. I always looked forward to seeing her and visiting with her whenever you guys were in the hills. She will be definitely missed and will leave a huge empty place in my heart and in our lives. My prayers are with you and the boys.

Aunt Judy was such a special, pure soul. She was an incredibly Godly woman, and was so kind to everyone she met. We will miss her more than I can put into words. Sending all my love to Uncle Jay and their children.
