Obituary

Irma Zimmerman, 77, of Alexandria, SD, died Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. A private family graveside service will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Mitchell. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Irma Zimmerman was born May 15, 1943 to Irvan and Frida Hagge in Burke, SD.

Irma is survived by her husband, Marvin Zimmerman; step-children, Kim, Kevin, Brad Zimmerman, Kelly Delancy, and Patti Brewster; and sister, Dee Carr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Irvan and Frida.

It has been 12 days and I still cannot accept that my favorite cousin, room mate, house mate and friend is no longer with us. I have so many great memories of Irma!

I was so shocked and sorry to hear of Irma’s passing. We were classmates in Burke and it was never dull with Irma around. I will so miss her smile, beautiful hair, laughs and new cars! My sympathy, Marv and family, and my prayers are with you.

First met Irma when she came to work at the Corn Palace gift shop. Was always fun to visit with. Condolences to the family.
