Carol C. Walti

December 8, 1940 - February 4, 2020

Carol Concetta Walti, 79 was born December 8, 1940 to Frank and Estella (Sypher) Greco in Watertown, New York.  She was the fifth of eight children.  Carol peacefully joined her loved ones in heaven on February 4, 2020 surrounded by the love and grace of family and friends in Mitchell, South Dakota.  A celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 8th at the Legion Hall in White Lake from 2-4PM with arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.  A mass of Christian burial will be at a later date in Watertown, NY.

Carol filled the lives of loved ones with beauty, joy, and goodness.  Grateful for sharing her life are her three children, Charles (Martha) Walti, Alexandria Bay, NY; Kim (John) Ehlers, White Lake, SD and Brian Walti Sioux Falls, SD.

Nothing brought her greater joy than being Grandma Carol to her six grandchildren Stacey and Austin, Zachary and Emilie, Gates and Josiah.  Her words of wisdom to everyone she met “Play nice with others,” will fill their hearts forever. Carol had a true zest for life and shared her love and knowledge with everyone she met.  She spent her life serving and supporting others.   Carol spent the majority of her life in Upstate New York.  She spent ten years in South Dakota and most recently lived life to the fullest in Hudson, Florida.

Carol will always be remembered in the hearts of her brother Guy (Pat) Greco and sisters Fran King, Mary Barcomb, Louise (John) Durante, Sheila (Chuck) Branche and Sharon Redden; several nieces, nephews, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard.

I worked with carol at jrc. Such a beautiful person. We talked as we were family when we met. Her smile. Her gift to open her heart to everyone. She had so many positive things about her. As we talked she would remind me of my mom even though we were only ten years apart. She even would make me the egg bread treat every Easter because I mentioned I liked them. I thought she was one of the best people I ever met. God bless
