Wayne Chenoweth

Wayne Chenoweth, 71, of Mitchell, died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.

A private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Wayne Francis Chenoweth was born on October 15, 1947 in Mitchell, SD to Richard and Irene (Chmela) Chenoweth. He attended Platte High School and later an Auto Mechanic Vocational School in Kansas City. Throughout his life he lived in rural Platte, Chamberlain, and most recently Mitchell. Wayne was a self-employed mechanic and handyman.

Wayne is survived by his sons, Kenny (Laurie) Chenoweth and Kurtis (Nicole) Chenoweth, Mitchell; daughters, Kimberly (Chris) Huhnerkoch, Lead, SD, and Kristin (Brandon) Vilhauer, Mitchell; six grandchildren, Andrew Chenoweth, Tanner Vilhauer, Ashley Chenoweth, Tucker Vilhauer, Lukas Chenoweth, and Kennedy Vilhauer; brothers, LeRoy Chenoweth, Higginsville, MO, Jim Chenoweth, Plankinton, SD; Bill Chenoweth, Springfield, SD; and a sister, Cheryl Blom, Corsica, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kurt ,Ken, and family of Wayne , asking the LORD to be near each of you in your loss, I will sure miss Wayne and all our Red Heeler conversations at Marlins and his excellent chains saw sharpening abilities. I was always amused at his abilty to barter ,even though it usually meant i took less.:)

Wayne was always friendly and would never pass you up when he was you. Liked to visit about old time in Platte (good or bad). My prayers for the family in this time of loss.
