Margaret Mueller

Margaret Mueller, 96, Parkston, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, August 27 at St. John Lutheran Church at rural Dimock. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm on Sunday with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.

Margaret Mueller was born October 17, 1921 at Armour, SD to Wilhelm Frederick and Emma (Laib) Fink. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church at rural Delmont. On September 16, 1945 she married Herbert Mueller. They farmed their entire life in the Mount Vernon and Ethan area. After retiring from the farm, Margaret was employed as a cook at the Methodist and Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. She was a faithful Christian woman, whose passions were family, cooking and quilting.

She is survived by four children: Ron (Judi) Mueller of Sioux Falls, Delmar (Nancy) Mueller of Ethan, Marilynn (Steve) Haddorff of Sioux Falls and Curtis (Linda) Mueller of Ethan, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two brothers: Albert Fink of Armour, AM (Deborah) Fink of Ames, IA, two sisters-in-law: Delores Fink of Minneapolis and Laverna Mueller of Parkston.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert in March 2015 and a brother, William.

Memorials are preferred to be made to Lutheran’s Outdoors of South Dakota or Lutheran Social Services.

So sorry for your loss. Hugs to all of you. I remember coming out to the farm and Margaret being there cooking and helping out. Video was very well done. Prayers
