Donald Fluth, 93, Emery, SD died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Diamond Care Center in Bridgewater, SD

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 6 at the First Baptist Church in Emery. Burial will be in the Emery Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. Arrangements are with the Hettinger-Bittner Funeral Chapel in Emery.

Donald Francis Fluth was born July 11, 1924 at home to Jacob and Marie (Bunger) Fluth in McCook County. He grew up near Emery and graduated from Emery High School. Don served in the US Navy during WWII. On February 22, 1944 he married Alyce Folkerts. They farmed various places near Alexandria, Emery and Bridgewater and from 1955 until 1963 resided at Pilage, MN where he worked at the paper company. Alyce died in October 1986 and in November 1991 he married Phylis Ontjes.  Don loved his God, Family and Church and enjoyed farming and golfing.

Don is survived by his sons: Delmond (Denise) Fluth, Bradley (Cheryl) Fluth, five grandchildren: Michelle (Chris) Taylor, Jennifer (Quincy) Boeding, Jaclyn (Robert) Heider, Robert (Danielle) Fluth and Andrew (Allison) Fluth, ten great grandchildren: Kyleesha Boeding, Morgan Boeding, Connor Taylor, Marian Boeding, Katherine Boeding, Keira Heider, BreAnn Heider, Alexander Boeding, Oliver Fluth and Lincoln Fluth, two brothers: Lester and Harley (Margie) Fluth, brother-in-law, Wendell (Meridel) Folkerts, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both of his wives, Alyce and Phylis, infant son, Bruce, brother, Alvin, brothers and sisters-in-law: Bernice Fluth, Elaine and Ralph Browen, Betty and Byron Osterloo and Marie and Herbert Bahmuller.

Was so very sorry to hear of Del's father's passing...
Am sure he no doubt knew Jesus personally, so what a glorious "HOMECOMING!"
