Robert Kristensen, 89, of White Lake, died Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Aurora Brule Care and Rehabilitation Center in White Lake.  Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in White Lake.  Burial will be at the White Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday at the church with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

Robert Kristensen was born September 29, 1927 in White Lake to Edward and Jensine (Sorensen) Kristensen.  He was baptized the next day with his twin brother, Raymond.  Robert was confirmed on July 14, 1940 at the Crystal Lake Lutheran Church.  He attended country schools.

Robert served in the Army in Korea and Japan during the Korean War from 1951-1953.  After being honorably discharged, he returned to the family farm.

On June 15, 1957 he married Norma Steffen.  They farmed and raised livestock on the family farm southeast of White Lake.  In 1995, they moved into White Lake.  Robert was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  He was Director for Tri-County Electric for many years.  He was a proud member of the American Legion and the VFW.  Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a kind man who was always willing to help relatives and friends.  Bob enjoyed a good game of cards, pheasant hunting with family and friends, and driving around the country.  The joys of his life were his 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter, Bonny (Craig) Hansen, Mitchell; son Lennis (Linda) Kristensen, White Lake; 5 grandchildren: Amber (Brandon) Eberhard, Hartford; Bob (Alison) Hansen, Mitchell;  Brenna (Scott) Clites, White Lake; Kelsey Hansen, Winona, MN; Lacey (Jess) Wieczorek, Stickney; 8 great grandchildren: Easton, Blaire, and Avery Eberhard; Carlee and Carter Hansen; Griffin and Gwen Clites; and Garett Wieczorek; sister-in-law, Betty Kristensen; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lois and Glenn Page; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Nels and Elaine Kristensen; Edwin and Ila Kristensen; his twin brother, Raymond; and Lawrence Kristensen.

Uncle Bob made each of his nieces and nephews feel loved and special. I know he is feeling better then when I saw him two weeks ago and that gives me comfort and peace. I pray his family can share in that peace.

We were so lucky to have Bob as our Brother-In-Law, He was so "SPECIAL". He will truly be missed. Our Love and Prayers go out to the entire family.
