Don Weber was born October 3, 1936, one of 12 children born to Joe and Anna (Dorweiler) Weber. He attended St. Peter’s Catholic School in Farmer, SD before leaving the family farm to move to Rockford, Illinois. A few years later, Don proudly served our country as a soldier in the United States Army for two years. His enlistment included a memorable Cold War-era tour of duty in Europe. Following his tour of duty, Don returned to his native South Dakota to once again pursue his passion of farming. There, he would court and marry the love of his life, a country school teacher from Spencer, SD named Maureen Bartscher. They would start their own successful farming operation near Alexandria, SD, raising corn, oats, hogs, cattle. Seven loving children, 30 grandchildren, and one great grandchild would follow.
He joins in Heaven his father and mother, three grandchildren: Hannah, Luke, and Ellie, as well as beloved siblings: Jo Williams, Irma Bordewick, Ray Weber, and Bobby Weber.
