Richard Darrell Miller was born August 2, 1933 to Earl and Wanda (Usher) Miller at Mitchell, SD. Dick graduated from Mitchell High School in May, 1951. On March 10, 1952 he married Nannette Catherine Martin. Dick started Dick’s Body Shop the summer of 1952 and in 1971 he, along with Pierre Forrett and Larry Tueber were founding members of the South Dakota Auto Body Association where he served on the board. In 1979, Dick along with his son, Craig, started Parts World, a used auto and truck parts business.
Dick was a member of the Mitchell Jaycees from 1962 to 1983, Mitchell Chamber of Commerce from 1962 to present. He served on the Good Neighbor and City Beautification Committees in recent years.
Dick was grateful to share his life with his wife of 64 years, Nannette; one daughter, Victoria Lynn (Dennis) Pierson of Colleyville, TX; one son, Craig Darrell Miller of Everett, WA; one grandson, Nicholas Craig Pierson of Ft. Worth, TX; one brother, Daniel Earl Miller of Rapid City, aunts, Connie (Wayne) Laird of Mitchell and Marceen Usher of Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
