Wilma Francis Tuttle


July 1, 1916 - March 19, 2016


Wilma Francis Tuttle was born on July 1, 1916 to Earl and Effie (Brink) Teesdale on the family farm near Stickney SD. 

She married Melvin Tuttle on July 28, 1937 and they had five children.  The family lived and farmed in the Mitchell area for over fifty years.  They were active in the Fulton and Mitchell Methodist Churches, the Mitchell Senior Citizens Center and several community clubs and activities.

She is survived by one sister, Jackie (Fred) Ening, Sioux Falls, SD; her children: David (Pat), Alexandria, SD, Ramona (Fred) Persan, Valley Stream, NY, Rodney (Norma), Mitchell, SD and John (Paula), Wagner, SD; fifteen grandchildren, forty great- grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters. Greeting her in heaven is her husband, Melvin and their son, Merlin.


A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
