Larry Raymond Clark was born October 2, 1938 to Orlo and Evelyn (Selland) Clark at Mitchell, SD. He attended schools in the Letcher area. Larry served and was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. On September 10, 1962 he married Carol Havlik.
At an early age he started hauling gravel for his father at the Clark Construction Company and later on purchased the company from his father. He went on to run several successful businesses: Fireproof Safe of Idaho, Idaho Auto Auction and Quality of Texas Home Improvement Company. In 1993 he started Clark Paving Company in Mitchell, SD. In 2007 he retired and his sons took over the paving company.
He was a member of the VFW, Moose, and the American Legion. In 1955 he was the SD Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion and was also an outstanding baseball player and story teller. He enjoyed following the Twins and Cubs.
Larry is survived by his children, Kelly (John) O’Bryan, Moscow, ID, Doug (Erin) Clark, Portland, OR, Brad (Kristi) Clark, Letcher, SD, and Pat (Mikki) Clark, Mitchell, SD; sister, Mary Jo (Dale) Lang, Watertown, SD; brothers, Tom (Lonni) Clark, Norwood, CO. and John (Alexis) Clark, Shakopee, MN; 16 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna, infant brother, Jimmy and his parents.
