Kinkade Olson, 15, of Alexandria, SD, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, February 12, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Thursday at the Church with a 6:30 PM prayer service. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Kinkade Olson was born July 21, 2005 to Daniel and Michelle (Geist) Olson in Mitchell, SD. Kinkade was in the 10th grade, and attended Hanson High School.
Kinkade loved music, art, and video games. When he grew up, Kinkade had plans to become a computer programmer. He also had a passion for playing and watching basketball. His favorite team was the Oklahoma City Thunder. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and cherished all the memories that were made being together.
Kinkade is survived by his parents, Daniel and Michelle of Alexandria, SD; sisters, Kyla (Michael) Buldhaupt of Lake Wilson, MN and Kamber Muilenburg of Mitchell, SD; brother, Kameron (Shelly) Olson of Mitchell, SD; grandparents, Anthony Geist of Mitchell, SD and Carol and Louie Penn of Sturgis, SD; nephews: Garrett, Dawson, baby Muilenburg, Weston, and Duncan; niece, Hannah; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kisa Olson; grandpa, Gerald Olson; grandma, Connie Geist; and uncle, Mike Mockerman.
Kinkade was diagnosed with heart failure on March 20, 2019. He was airlifted to Iowa City, IA to the University of Iowa Hospital where he received an LVAD to wait upon a heart. Kinkade received his new heart on May 19, 2019.
